Section 1: Operation & Status Overview

Once both the Twin WAN Gateway and the PCs are configured, operation is automatic. However, there are certain situations where additional configuring for your network may be required. (Refer to Chapter 3 - Advanced Setup for further details)

System Status

WAN Information

Connection Status – Displays the current status of each WAN port. (Connected or Not connected)

Connection Type – This shows what connection type is used: DHCP, Fixed IP, PPPoE, or PPTP.

Force Renew Button – This is only available when using a Dynamic IP address (DHCP). Clicking this will perform a Renew transaction with the ISP’s DHCP server. This will extend the period for which the current WAN IP address is allocated to you.

IP Address – This displays the IP address of the Twin WAN Gateway when seen from the Internet. This IP Address is allocated by the ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Subnet Mask – This displays the Network Mask (Subnet Mask) for the IP Address above.

Domain Name IP Address – This displays the address of the current DNS (Domain Name Server).

MAC Address – This displays the MAC (physical) address of the Twin WAN Gateway when seen from the Internet.

LAN Information

IP Address – This displays LAN IP Address of the Twin WAN Gateway.

Subnet Mask – This displays the Network Mask (Subnet Mask) for the IP Address above.

MAC Address – This displays the MAC (physical) address of the Twin WAN Gateway when seen from the local LAN.

DHCP Server – This displays the status of the DHCP Server function; either Enabled or Disabled.

Device Information

Firmware Version – This displays the current firmware version of the Twin WAN Gateway.

NAT – This displays the status of the NAT feature; either Enable or Disable.

Load Balance – This displays the status of the Load Balance feature; either Enable or Disable.

Virtual Server – This displays the status of the Virtual Server feature; either Enabled or Disabled.

Special Applications – This displays the status of the Special Applications feature; either Enabled or Disabled.

DMZ – This displays the status of the DMZ feature; either Enabled or Disabled.

Block URL – This displays the status of the Block URL feature; either Enable or Disable.

Hardware ID – This displays the manufacturer's ID for this particular device.

Device Statistics

System UpTime – This displays the time since the system of a device was last re-initialized.

CPU Usage – This displays the current usage percentage of CPU.

Memory Usage – This displays the current usage percentage of Memory (Heap & Queue).

Console Buttons

Refresh – This button will update the data on screen.

Restart – Restart (reboot) the Twin WAN Gateway.

Restore Factory Defaults – This will delete all existing settings and restore the factory default settings.
